The Horrors - Sea Within a Sea
Primary Colours (2009-2010)
At the end of 2007, The Horrors announced the forthcoming recording of a new album. The album was produced by the band, Craig Silvey, Geoff Barrow of Portishead,[5] and music video director Chris Cunningham. Recording took place in Bath during the summer of 2008. The band were forced to pull out of their planned appearance at the Underage Festivaldue to recording schedule conflicts. The band signed to XL Recordings after they left Loog Records in 2007. The only release from the band between the "She Is the New Thing" single in June 2007 and the new material in 2009 was a cover of Suicide's "Shadazz", released by Blast First Petite as part of their tribute to Alan Vega in October 2008. A few weeks before the new album's release, a number of songs from the album were leaked. The album's first single, "Sea Within a Sea", was released as a digital download-only single on 17 March 2009. A music video for the song, directed by Douglas Hart (former bassist for The Jesus and Mary Chain), was also posted on the band's website on the same day. The second album Primary Colours was officially released on 4 May 2009 to critical acclaim and reached #25 on the UK Albums Chart. The single "Who Can Say" was released on 7" vinyl one week later. Primary Colours was nominated for the 2009 Mercury Prize. NME later awarded the album first place in the 50 Best Albums of 2009.[6]
After headlining London's Offset Festival and touring Primary Colours, The Horrors said that they would like to build their own studio, so they can record at obscure hours.

Cap'n Jazz - Hey Ma, Do I Hafta Choke On These?
David Bowie - We are the dead
Something kind of hit me today
I looked at you and wondered if you saw things my way
People will hold us to blame
It hit me today, it hit me today
We're taking it hard all the time
Why don't we pass it by?
Just reply, you've changed your mind
We're fighting with the eyes of the blind
Taking it hard, taking it hard
Yet now
We feel that we are papers, choking on you nightly
They tell me "Son, we want you, be elusive, but don't walk far"
For we're breaking in the new boys, deceive your next of kin
For you're dancing where the dogs decay, defecating ecstasy
You're just an ally of the leecher
Locator for the virgin King, but I love you in your fuck-me pumps
And your nimble dress that trails
Oh, dress yourself, my urchin one, for I hear them on the rails
Because of all we've seen, because of all we've said
We are the dead
One thing kind of touched me today
I looked at you and counted all the times we had laid
Pressing our love through the night
Knowing it's right, knowing it's right
Now I'm hoping some one will care
Living on the breath of a hope to be shared
Trusting on the sons of our love
That someone will care, someone will care
But now
We're today's scrambled creatures, locked in tomorrow's double feature
Heaven's on the pillow, its silence competes with hell
It's a twenty-four hour service, guaranteed to make you tell
And the streets are full of press men
Bent on getting hung and buried
And the legendary curtains are drawn 'round Baby Bankrupt
Who sucks you while you're sleeping
It's the theater of financiers
Count them, fifty 'round a table
White and dressed to kill
Oh caress yourself, my juicy
For my hands have all but withered
Oh dress yourself my urchin one, for I hear them on the stairs
Because of all we've seen, because of all we've said
We are the dead
We are the dead
We are the dead

Yann Tiersen & Elizabeth Fraser - Mary
Here on this sleeper train
And do you feel the pain
Growing into the night, Mary
And I can feel the taste
Of your third birthday cake
Remember how it was
To hold you into my arms, Mary
It was there
The summer lights around
I was there
His hand upon my knees
And we're gone
Across this sunny streets
And we're gone
The day you died, Mary
And we go faster now
Together throught the fields
Here on this sleeper train
And I can touch your face, Mary
The precious things we've done
Hidden under my skin
I let you sleep a while
I let you sleep a while, Mary
It was there
The summer lights around
I was there
His hand upon my knees
And we're gone
Across this sunny streets
And we're gone
The day you died, Mary
Low - Lullaby
feel the spot don't let it burn
we all want we all yearn
be soft don't be stern
lullaby
was not supposed to make you cry
i sang the words i meant
i sang

Efterklang - Piramida
4AD is very excited to formally announce the release of the next Efterklang album. Their fourth album, Piramida, will come out on September 24th.
The making of the new album started out in unusual fashion in August 2011, when the members of Efterklang (Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen and Rasmus Stolberg) went on a nine-day audio expedition to an abandoned Russian settlement in Spitsbergen, an Arctic island located just shy of the North Pole. Spitsbergen is home to more polar bears than people and also to the ghost town of Piramida, which was abandoned overnight in the 90s, and today stands as a slowly decaying ruin.
To get a sense of what happened there, Efterklang have produced a video that gives a tantalising insight into this unique journey – it’s really the best way to understand how they obtained over 1,000 sounds to sample for the new album. Along with discovering the world's northernmost grand piano, the trio spent nine days exploring and recording the sounds that would inspire and build the songs on Piramida.
Their first US show in two years, and the only one in 2012 will take place a few days before the album’s release at the majestic Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York on September 22nd. The band will perform with the 19-piece Wordless Music Orchestra. Tickets and more information here:
The band also has several Piramida concerts scheduled in Europe and the UK this Fall. A US tour will follow in early 2013. All dates/info/ticket links are at www.efterklang.net

Twin Shadow, the psueudonym of George Lewis Jr., release latest album, Confess, through 4AD this week. Self-produced and with mixing duties handled by Michael H. Brauer (Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney), the follow-up to 2010's Forget finds Lewis Jr. doing what he does best; remembering and reinventing, fashioning a soundtrack which sounds refreshingly and distinctly modern.
Inspired by a motorcycle accident George was involved in a few years ago, Confessis suitably dramatic and exhilirating. Referencing the 80s New Wave close to its creator's heart and with a cinematic ambition, the album is personalised by a lyrical concern that reveals Lewis Jr. to be the Don Juan with a conscience; louche, charming and melancholic in equal measure.
Watch the video for the lead track from the album, 'Five Seconds', below and download the MP3 here. Twin Shadow are on tour now and play a number of shows throughout the summer and autumn. They have also confirmed two UK dates at the end of the year - Sound Control, Manchester on 31st October and Brixton Electric, London on 1st November.
GANDALF - Golden Earrings
Gandalf were an influential late 1960s psychedelic rock group. They were an American band originally called the Rahgoos and formed by Peter Sando, Frank Hubach, Bob Muller and Davy Bauer. They signed a record deal with Capitol Records in 1967 who made them rename the band Gandalf. They recorded their first and only LP the same year. The record includes covers of Tim Hardin, Eden Ahbez and Bonner & Gordon (the writers of "Happy Together") and two songs composed by the band's guitarist Peter Sando. But Capitol spurned them and only released the LP in 1969 with the wrong record inside the sleeve. The copies were recalled and damaged the band's career. Capitol didn't promote the record which made the sales worse. Over the years the album's reputation grew and it was re-released by Sundazed records in 2002.

ELLIOT SMITH - EVERYTHING MEANS NOTHING TO ME
E EU "FIGURE x 8" DE PARVO POR SÓ AGORA DAR-LHE A DEVIDA ATENÇÃO.
Desculpa lá pá.
Abraço
